“Fresh marketing and brand strategies require big ideas, often the complex business offerings reduced to very simple stories. That's what we do in the south. Tell stories,"
shares Sandy Traub, CEO.

IN GEORGIA ... Featuring fresh Savannah photos and expanded Search Engine keywords, a stimulatingly visual Web tool for Azalea Inn and Gardens launched in late October. Sophisticated property renovations and the re-branding of The Presidents' Quarters are turning heads. Fodor's Guide named the small trophy hotel property in historic Savannah Georgia on its short list of "Savannah and Charleston Best B&Bs and Inns." With fresh taglines -- "Why stopover when you can see Savannah" (sm) and invitation to "Seize the Moment" (sm) -- media streaming video and streetside flags keep the affordable Savannah budget boutique hotel of Inn at Mulberry Grove in the forefront of interstate travelers along I-95 in Port Wentworth, Georgia, just south of the South Carolina border. IN SOUTH CAROLINA ... Creating a buzz in the Orangeburg SC community is the vibrant, nature-based new brand strategy directed by SPATIOR Storyline Marketing for Southern Lodge. Street signs, Web photos, community networking and press releases are the first evidence of British hotelier Sam Patel's commitment to spur tourism along the South Carolina Heritage Corridor with a tag line of "Quiet country back roads" (sm) of small town America. If we pointed to central themes for this strategic brand-positioning firm’s work during spring 2007, it would be “growing market share and accelerating client momentum.”  “The pre-requisites, of course, are messages and offerings that connect, committed focus, dedicated resources, and tireless creativity,” reports brand position and marketing strategist Sandy Traub.

Spring in the south is the perfect timing for high impact, up-to-date visuals.  A steady pace of SPATIOR-produced photo shoots brought in excellent collateral images to bump up the new brand positioning for Southern Lodge in Orangeburg SC, the added family focus for Inn at Mulberry Grove in Port Wentworth GA, restful night images at Azalea Inn & Gardens in Savannah GA, and noble lodging at The Presidents’ Quarters in Savannah GA’s historic district.

SPATIOR’s new tagline for The Presidents’ Quarters -- Luxury with a legacy … a tradition of hospitality, a legacy of style -- sets a timeless theme for exclusive B&B lodging at the upper-crust Savannah mansions on Oglethorpe Square.  New photography from nationally renowned photographer Adam Kuehl turns heads for double-take glimpses of the sleepy-quiet mansions nestled on Oglethorpe Square next to Owens-Thomas House.  The early photos offer a clue to the high profile, touchstone lodging that will emerge by the end of Year 2007.

SPATIOR is guiding the development of a new digital communications portal for Chatham-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission, and enhancing the Internet-based tools for MPC Water Resource professionals, whose timely communication assets became even more critical during southeast Georgia’s 2007’s spring and summer droughts.

“SPATIOR’s work is parlayed with an extraordinary professional network of creative partners.  Together, with very-active client involvement, we are accomplishing a great deal on 4-and-5-digit marketing budgets,” shares Ms. Traub.

SPATIOR’s final quarter of 2006 encompassed the sport of cultural exploration, pacesetting targeted outreach, and making excellent networking connections.  109 WEST, a luxury self-catering vacation mansion in historic Savannah, Georgia, retained SPATIOR for strategic marketing communications and PR.  Through SPATIOR matchmaking, 109 WEST will host by-invitation corporate sponsored Savannah Music Festival parties – mid-March through April 1, 2007.   Accelerating the PR pace  for the Savannah Music Festival during the organization’s PR candidate search, Sandy boosted results from mail out PR collateral and online press tools with creativity, new targeted media outreach tools, and a networking focus to “tell it forward” through Georgia and Savannah tourism/hospitality stakeholders.  During a few weeks of storyline idea writing to regional and national media, over a dozen national magazine + Internet features (including Southern Living, Travel + Leisure Golf, Food & Wine, AAA, AARP, All You, The South, and Delta Sky magazine) highlight and recommend the multi-cultural springtime Savannah Music Festival.

In business for 14 years, the steadily successful
Southern Lodge in Orangeburg SC retained SPATIOR for marketing and Internet consulting.  For this new Internet entrant, the first successful hurdle for SPATIOR to was to acquire the hijacked domain from an international holder.  During the on-site South Carolina consulting trip, Sandy discovered one of the world’s oldest Cyprus forests at the Audubon’s Francis Beidler Forest, not far from the family-owned and managed I-95 Peach Tree Inn hotel in St. George, Dorchester County, South Carolina – Swamp Fox country of Revolutionary War fame.   In 2006, the stirring novel of “Savannah Grey” has been the passion of writer and tour historian, Jim Jordan.  SPATIOR’s PR work early in 2007 will bring new focus to the exciting new Savannah-based historical novel.

SPATIOR.com launches, FINALLY!  Reflectively, Ms. Traub speaks of objectivity.  “It’s easier to be objective about a client’s business.  It’s tough beating my own drum, but it’s time … even if the SPATIOR drum beat is a soft beat on a small drum.  My clients are more important, so this little site will have to do for now.”  Recalling one client’s comment -- “Sandy is too modest to say it herself so I’ll say it for her.  She’s responsible for at least 70% of the turnaround of [our] business” – the SPATIOR.com ever-so-modest Web site offers selective insights into the forward-thinking firm’s versatility and the important client successes.  “Creative brand positioning, daring strategic marketing and tapping the power of the Internet afford exhilarating opportunities for my vivid imagination!” shares Ms. Traub, whose marketing and technical passions were percolated while at IBM.
